Train Wreck
I feel like my fanhood just got run over by a train with a NY logo on it. What a miserable weekend!
Got to tip the cap to the Yankees for finding a way to win in Games 2 and 4, and also for ending the Smoltz project once and for all. What's worse than a four-game sweep? A four game sweep at the hands of the Yankees. The Sox still lead the season series 8-4, but who cares at this point?
Time for the Sox to move on, but not without first facing the first-place Detroit Tigers. And look who we've got to stop the bleeding? The ever-unpredictable Brad Penny.
Let's hope some home cookin' can wake up the bats.

The Red Sox are almost unbeatable at Fenway, Steve, so I have no doubt they'll bounce back. Obviously, I'm thrilled about the sweep, but having been on the other end more than once I totally feel your pain!

Let's hope so! It was a disastrous weekend, but I'm glad it's over and now time to move on to other things.

You would think that games 2 and 4 would be in Boston's favor, but it wasn't. Hopefully, since we are back at Fenway, we can get some revenge and try and get back in the swing of things!!!

I think last night's win was a big one for the Red Sox. They're not going to be as "down-in-the-dumps" as they were leaving Yankee Stadium after losing the series.
Let's hope we keep on winning!!

Steve, The Red Sox will close the gap...Win the division? Almost definitely no. But it will look more respectable by seasons end.

ive cheeried for the red sox for 4 years and ive never like the yankees i was born a atl braves fan. So, far this season the red sox have my favorite pitcher from the braves and this is last year to pitch. I'm a scorned ex of a red sox fan so I curse the red sox they wont win the series this year idk maybe thr pin stripe new yorkers will beat them arod will still be over rated and over paid but the sox are getting close to being exactly like they yankees.
