The Blue Jays have taken a swan dive in the standings after losing their ninth straight. The Rays have yet to make a good run this season, but they're hanging in there. Baltimore is getting comfy in their last-place position where they shall remain until the slate is wiped clean next April.
The Red Sox and Yankees are tied for first place.
Yes, I know its early, but I'm beginning to think the possible four-team battle for the East will come down to Boston and New York with outside chance that Tampa Bay will sneak in. The Blue Jays can't compete with these teams for 162 games.
The past few weeks show a trend toward a two team league again. Works for me. I'd rather worry about one team and not three.
Anyone else think I've just jinxed myself and the Rays will win a dozen straight?
