Is Toronto Done (Already)?
I hate to count any team out in early May, but the Toronto Blue Jays are in deep trouble. First they lose their closer for the season, then Roy Halladay gives up a combined 17 runs in back-to-back starts. The Red Sox are pounding Halladay like a batting practice pitcher. As of this post, it's only the top of the 5th at Rogers Centre and the Sox are leading 8-0 already. I'm telling you, something's wrong with Roy. This guy's way too good to be coughing up that many runs. If the score holds up as it should, this will be the Jays' ninth straight loss and will knock them 10.5 games back.
Meanwhile, Tim Wakefield is baffling the Toronto offense. His ERA has dipped under 2.00. The Sox look unstoppable, thanks in large part to what is probably the best rotation in team history.

Halladay had looked shaky. But I like to dip into the realm of possibility sometimes. Maybe just maybe the Rangers and Sox lineup's just had his number on these particular days.

Sure, that's possible. It could be a flaw in his mechanics. But elite pitchers, even on bad days against tough lineups, rarely surrender that many runs.

Sox are unstoppable right now. I cant wait for the Yankees come to town, hopefully Clemens will be ready to pitch against us.
Jays were no match, they cant score any runs at all..
Tough series will be Atlanta

I don't know what's wrong with Roy Halladay. He still seems to get velocity behind his pitches, or at least he seemed to at the Texas game. I was there in Texas for that game. He still seems to have good stuff. He just seems to be losing his location and missing his spots. Mechanically.
I think that could be a fixable problem. I just don't know. I really like Halladay and I hate to see somebody that talented go thru something like this. I don't know about the Blue Jays.
I didn't predict that they could make the play offs this year because I assumed the Red Sox would win the WC and the Yankees would win the AL East or vice versa.
But we'll see.
